Koffi, Mount Greylock Softball Win at Athol

ATHOL, Mass. – Malia Koffi homered and tripled Friday to lead the Mount Greylock softball team to a 15-2 win over Athol.
 
The Mounties scored 10 runs in the top of the first inning and never looked back.
 
Kelsey MacHaffie went 4-for-4 with a home run and three runs batted in.
 
And Addison Pause, Elin Reinhard and Madi Barber each had a pair of hits in a 16-hit attack for Mount Greylock.
 
The Mounties used three different pitchers in the win. Barber, Kayleigh Jaros and Koffi combined to strike out six in the game shortened to five innings by the mercy rule.
 
Mount Greylock finishes the regular season 8-10 and learns Saturday who it will face in the quarter-fianls of next week’s Western Massachusetts Class C Tournament.
