Fast Start Propels Duggan Boys Past McCann Tech

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. – Allen Miranda scored 27 points Friday to lead the Duggan Academy boys basketball team to a 75-44 win over McCann Tech.
 
Jaylen Edwards scored 19 for Duggan, which stormed out to a 19-3 lead in the first quarter.
 
“Tough game tonight,” McCann Tech coach Chris Bullett said. “We put ourselves in a big hole at the start … and battled back to within six a couple of times in the second and third quarters. But we couldn’t get over the hump.
 
“Credit to Duggan. They played a hard game.”
 
Eric Rougeau scored 15 points, and Zack Howland added 11 for McCann Tech.
 
The Hornets (3-2) go to Ludlow on Tuesday.
