McGrath, Hoosac Valley Set Up Rematch at Drury

TURNERS FALLS, Mass. -- Keagan McGrath scored 19 points, and the Hoosac Valley boys basketball team shot 8-for-11 from the foul line in the fourth quarter of a 55-49 win over Pioneer Valley Tech on Monday in the first round of the Western Massachusetts Division 3 tournament.
 
The 10th-seeded Hurricanes (12-9) advanced to set up a quarter-final date and a third game this winter against No. 2 Drury (17-3) on Thursday night in Bucky Bullett Gymnasium for a berth in the sectional semi-finals.
 
On Monday, Nicholas Waterman scored 13, and Colin Rousseau and Austin Mendel added 11 and 10 apiece for Hoosac Valley, which won for the fifth time in its last seven games.
 
Hoosac Valley Thursday will be looking for its first win of the season against the rival Blue Devils, who won, 65-64, in Cheshire and 65-52 in North Adams.
