Gilded Knights

Nichole Dupont

Once again, there is too much to do in the Berkshires this weekend. It is a pick and choose what the kids can handle and what the weather will allow type of mentality that’s got me reading the Shopper’s Guide, checking the 500 press releases in my inbox and wondering if we will ever get to the apple-pumpkin picking journey I promised the kids…

By far the most exciting event to catch my eye is happening tomorrow at Ventfort Hall in Lenox. They are hosting a Medieval Faire beginning at 10 a.m. Armored combat displays and reenactments will be offered every hour as well as equestrian demonstrations, medieval arts and crafts, strolling musicians, food and exhibits. Participants will be garbed in the costume of the era and attendees young and old are encouraged to wear their wares as well!
While this is Ventfort Hall’s second annual fair it is expected to draw thousands, so be prepared for some lively conversation and activity. Tickets for the fair are $20 for adults and $10 for kids ages 5-17. For more information visit www.gildedage.org.
