The Northern Berkshire Beekeeping Association is offering an "Introduction to Beekeeping" course which will cover basic beekeeping principles, honey bee biology and health.
Sessions will take place Wednesday nights on Jan. 21, Feb. 4, 11, 18 and March 4. Two club meetings during the course, on Jan. 28 and Feb. 25, will also be included. There will be a field visit in April on a date to be determined later.
The cost is $55 which includes a one-year membership in the association. The Beekeepers Handbook, by Sammataro and Avitable, fifth edition, is required. Classes will take place at the Cheshire Senior Center, 119 School St.
