Through this 6-week discussion group, we will share the challenges women face as they age and create a new definition of what it means to be an empowered older woman. The course will be led by Cheryl Hutto, a coach and mentor who facilitates groups and private sessions for caregivers, individuals experiencing loss, and those facing the unspoken challenges that come with aging. This program is funded by the Green Foundation.

LEARN TO MEDITATE: TAME THE WILD HORSE OF YOUR MIND

Meditation has multiple purposes and effects. By quieting the mind and relaxing through breath awareness, the heart rate slows, allowing you to let go of thoughts that arise. With practice, you can experience lessened anxiety and emotional reactivity.

The Hotchkiss School presents an "Evening of Chamber Music" in the Katherine M. Elfers Hall at the Esther Eastman Music Center in Lakeville, Conn. The program features cellist Robert deMaine, clarinetist Darko Brlek, and pianists Fabio Witkowski and Gisele Nacif Witkowski performing works by Ludwig van Beethoven, Darius Milhaud, and Astor Piazzolla in a program highlighting the expressive range and collaborative spirit of chamber music.
Admission is free and open to the public.
