Bushnell-Sage Library Art Wall welcomes Judy Fox for August 2026
 

The Bushnell-Sage Library in Sheffield is delighted to welcome Judy Fox to the Art Wall for August. Judy Fox has always loved art, beginning with her childhood in Manhattan, where her mother took her to art museums and encouraged her to be creative. It wasn’t until about sixteen years ago, however, that Judy seriously began to pursue art after taking a “late bloomers” art class in the Berkshires. Since then, she has pursued artwork in different mediums and materials. Judy loves the whole creative process, the unknown aspect of literally often starting from nothing – no idea, no concept or image before me and just moving my pen or paintbrush to paper and seeing what emerges. Her first show, “From Nothing to Something: Spirited Visions of a Whimsical World,” was at her Stockbridge Studio in 2011. Since then, she has shown her work at the Lenox Community Center, the Lenox, Sheffield and Stockbridge Libraries, the Stockbridge Town Hall, the Colonial Theatre in Pittsfield, the Elusie Gallery in Easthampton, MA, the Painting Center in Chelsea, NYC, and an exhibit of Berkshire Women Artists at the Lichtenstein Center.

The First Fridays Artswalk in downtown Pittsfield continues its 5-month season (May through September) on Friday, August 7 from 5 to 8 pm as part of the City of Pittsfield’s First Fridays at Five.

Participating venues on Friday, August 7 include Clock Tower Artists, Framework by Downtown Pittsfield, Inc., Hotel on North, Indie Readery and Records, Lichtenstein Center for the Arts, O.U.R Resurge, Sanctum Gallery, Solarium Plant Shop, and the Soda Chef.
