Curious about community building and enriching education through movement? Join us for an inspiring in-person workshop with artist Lynn Peterson to explore the Curriculum in Motion™ method, using dance making and embodied exploration to encourage new methods of learning and collaboration in partnership with K-12 classrooms, after-school programs, cultural organizations and more. Stick around to learn more about the Curriculum in Motion™ Institute, an opportunity for artist educators to train in this community-oriented methodology. The session will include dance-making, a Q&A, and refreshments. W. Stockbridge, 3 to 5 p.m.
State Poet Laureate Regie Gibson, backed by a group musicians, presents a reimagined history of the founding of the Commonwealth told through the eyes of its marginalized people who influenced its growth and early struggles. General admission is $20 at the door, cash only, at the Stockbridge First Congregational Church, located at 4 Main St.

LENOX CONTRA DANCE

Lenox, 7:15 - 10:30 p.m.
Our next dance will be on Saturday, April 18th, with music by The Star Charters: Cecilia Vacanti (fiddle), Jess Newman (fiddle) and Mark Price (guitar) with Dereck Kalish calling. Roles will be larks and robins.
Come join us contra dancing to live music. We have a different band and caller each month. Dances are held on Third Saturday nights in Lenox, Massachusetts in the Lenox Community Center, at 65 Walker Street. Experience the pleasure of dancing on a beautiful wood floor, in a high-ceiling second floor accessible ballroom with a raised stage.
Admission is $12-15 for adults and $8-10 for students. New Dancers - 2nd dance free!
Dances begin with a 15 minute beginner introduction at 7:15 followed by dancing from 7:30 to 10:30. Refreshments are offered during the social break from dancing.
All the dances are taught. No partner necessary. Come alone or bring friends.
Dancing and laughter are better shared, viruses not so much.
If you are feeling ill, please stay home and take care of yourself.
We'll be happy to see you at the next dance.

Williamstown, 7:30am - 10:30am
Participants will visit three to four birding hotspots in Williamstown to observe arriving spring migrants via easy to moderate walks on grass, gravel, or roadsides. The group will meet at the Williamstown Public Library at the intersection of Routes 2 and 7 before departing for the local sites. Rita Parisi presents "Women of '76". In a costumed performance, Parisi will introduce the audience to five brave women who had a role to play in the American Revolution.
The program is sponsored by a grant from the Pittsfield Cultural Council which is supported by the MA Cultural Council. The event is FREE at the Berkshire Athenaeum

Designed for those new to the world of birds, this workshop covers essential identification tools and strategies before heading out for a guided 1.7-mile loop on the Greylock Glen gravel paths. Participants should bring sturdy shoes and water, though loaner binoculars are available for those who need them. Space is strictly limited to five participants and requires an advance RSVP via the Hoffmann Bird Club website.
