Mongeon, Hurricanes Edge Lee

ADAMS, Mass. – Zach Mongeon birdied the ninth hole Monday to give the Hoosac Valley golf team a 183-184 win over Lee at Forest Park on Opening Day for both teams.

 

Mongeon finished with a 4-over 38 to lead the Hurricanes (1-0).

 

The Wildcats’ Matty Abderhalden edged him for medalist honors with a 3-over 37 that included a birdie on the opening hole.

 

Lee (0-1) hosts Monument Mountain on Wednesday.

 

Hoosac Valley is home on Friday against Wahconah.
