FREE COMMUNITY SHOUT WITH REGGIE WILSON / FIST AND HEEL PERFORMANCE GROUP

Join artists Reggie Wilson and Michel Kouakou of Reggie Wilson/Fist and Heel Performance Group for this welcoming workshop. Community Shouts are joyful, participatory sing-alongs that invite people to connect with their rhythmic voices, bodies, and one another. Through songs, rhythms, and storytelling from Africa and the African Diaspora — including the Caribbean and the American South — participants explore shared traditions and cultural connections. No prior experience is needed, and everyone is encouraged to participate at their own comfort level.

This workshop is in partnership with the Common Room at Zion Lutheran Church, and part of the 10×10 Upstreet Arts Festival, the Berkshires’ first winter arts festival featuring new art, dance, music, theater, and more. Learn more about the 10×10 Festival here.

MARY SHELLEY'S FRANKENSTEIN - FEB 13 - FEB 15

The Hotchkiss Dramatic Association presents Frankenstein February 13–15 in Walker Auditorium. This visually striking adaptation, written by Nick Dear and based on Mary Shelley’s classic novel, follows the Creature’s journey from creation to self-discovery, reframing the story through his eyes. Directed by Derek Brashears, the production blends powerful physical theatre, vivid imagery, and emotional depth.

 

Performances are Friday and Saturday at 7:30 p.m., and Sunday at 2:00 p.m. Admission is free and open to the public.
