Alice V. Beer, 89
NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Alice Veronica Beer, 89, of 36 Williams St. died Tuesday, May 7, 2013, at Williamstown Commons.
Born in North Adams on April 13, 1924, daughter of John F. Miller Sr. and Viola Hall Miller, she attended local schools including the former St. Joseph's High School.
Mrs. Beer was employed at the former Sprague Electric Co. for 40 years until her retirement in 1986. She had first worked at the former Clark Biscuit Co.
She was a communicant of the former St. Francis of Assisi Church. She was a member of the Sprague Quarter Century Club and the Eagles. She enjoyed bowling.
Her husband, Weston Prince Beer, is deceased
She leaves a Marguerite T. LaCasse of Macedonia, Ohio; two nieces, Christine St. John of North Adams and Nancy LaCasse Anderson and her husband, Craig, of Hudson, Ohio; four grandnieces and -nephews, Rande Anderson, Craig Anderson Jr., Christopher Anderson and Karen Proctor; and nine great-grandnieces and -nephews.
She was predeceased by her brother, John F. Miller Jr., and her sister, Ruth St. John.
FUNERAL NOTICE — A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Mrs. Beer will be celebrated Monday, May 13, at 11 from St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery.
Calling hours will be Monday morning from 9 to 10:30 at Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, Central Chapels, 74 Marshall St., North Adams. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Elizabeth's Church in care of the funeral home.
