Richard F. Tenczar, 69

CHESHIRE, Mass. — Richard Francis Tenczar, 69, of 236 Devonshire Drive died early Sunday morning, March 1, 2015, at Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield. Born in Adams on Jan. 20, 1946, a son of Frank "Tex" and Blanche Szukala Tenczar, he attended Adams schools, and graduated from the former Adams High School with the class of 1963. He attended Berkshire Community College, and then graduated from the General Electric Draftsman Apprentice Program. Mr. Tenczar was employed as a designer draftsman at the former General Electric Co. in Pittsfield, until retiring in 2002 with more than 35 years of service. He was a communicant of St. Mary of the Assumption Church. He enjoyed gardening, following the stock market, and especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He was an avid fan of the Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots. He is survived by his wife, the former Deborah Ducharme, whom he married on Feb. 14, 1976; three sons, Christian Tenczar of Dalton, Justin Tenczar of Adams and Brent Tenczar and his companion, Markie Pannesco, of Austin, Texas; a brother, Ronald Tenczar of Cheshire; a sister, Janice Evans of Clarksburg; two Grandchildren, Casimer Tenczar and Reagan Tenczar, both of Adams, and another grandchild expected in May; and several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. FUNERAL HOME — A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Mr. Tenczar will be held Friday, March 6, at 10 a.m. in St. Mary of the Assumption Church, celebrated by the Rev. David R. Raymond, pastor. Burial will be in the spring in Southview Cemetery, North Adams. Calling hours will be Thursday, March 5, from 5 to 7 at Paciorek Funeral Home, 13 Hoosac St., Adams.
