Alba Ramona Oliva, 84
NORTH ADAMS, Mass. - Alba Ramona Oliva, 84, of 1570 Massachusetts Ave. died Sunday, April 26, 2015, at Williamstown Commons.
Born in Santa Ana, Honduras, on Feb. 28, 1931, daughter of Mercedes and Juana Matuta Avila, she attended schools in Honduras. She came to the North Adams in 1970.
Mrs. Oliva was employed at the former Hunter Outdoor Products and later at the former Donohue Chevrolet.
She was a communicant of the former St. Francis of Assisi Church. She enjoyed watching wrestling, feeding wild birds, and gardening.
She leaves two sons, Jose Iriass and his wife, Karen, and Marco Oliva and his wife, Maria, all of North Adams; two sisters, Margarita Avila and Ofelia Avila; a brother, Humberto Avila; seven grandchildren, Jeremy Perras of Kutztown, Pa., Jessie Fisher of Los Angeles, Justyn B. Iriass of Yelm, Wash., Ashley Lynn Iriass of Clarksburg, Belinda Oliva of Malden, and Ryan G. Iriass and Yeni Vasquez, both of North Adams; four great-grandchildren, Haven, Damien, Maddox and Greyson, and nieces and nephews.
FUNERAL NOTICE - The funeral for Mrs. Oliva will be private. There will be no calling hours. Arrangements are being handled by Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, Central Chapels.
