Gisela C. Dittmer, 98

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. - Gisela C. Dittmer, 98, of Williamstown died on Friday, July 10, 2015, after a long illness. Born in Hanover, Germany, in 1917, daughter of Gustav and Wilhelmine Kasten Dittmer, she emigrated to the United States in 1962. Miss Dittmer held various positions with the former Sprague Electric, the Goethe Institute and Harvard University among others in Massachusetts, New York and Florida. She retired to Williamstown. She loved to travel and visit her friends. She leaves her brother, Ernest Dittmer and his wife, Charlotte; two nieces, Doris Dittmer and Joan Dittmer; a nephew, Joerg Dittmer; a grandniece, two grandnephews and a great-grandnephew. She also leaves her good friends Laila, Harda and Amy. Her older brother Gustav Dittmer is deceased. FUNERAL NOTICE - There will be no services for Miss Dittmer per her request. The family would like to thank Williamstown Commons and Jennifer and Sherry, and Hospice Care in the Berkshires and Rebecca and Hope for their excellent care. Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals is in charge of arrangements.

I worked with Gisela at Sprague Electric;thought of her often , but having moved South , lost contact. So sorry , she was a wonderful friend.
