Warren R. Wright, 79

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Warren Raymond Wright, 79, died Tuesday, Dec. 22, 2015, at North Adams Commons.
Born in North Adams on Oct. 20, 1936, son of Thelma R. Wright Phillips, he was raised by his mother and stepfather, David Phillips. He attended Drury High School, where he was active in sports.
Mr. Wright was last employed at the former Widen Tannery. Before that, he worked for Gravel Construction in Williamstown.
He enjoyed sports and old movies, and especially enjoyed spending time with his family.
He leaves two sons, Jay Wright and Jamie Hamilton; two daughters, Tracy Hamilton and Dawn Wright; a brother, Robert Phillips; three sisters, Sandra Phillips Vanderburgh Brimage, Diane Amos and Frances Williams; grandchildren including Jalena Wright, Rhaya Wright and Jayden Chance Wright; his great-grandson, Richard Walden Jr., and nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by a brother, David Phillips.
FUNERAL NOTICE — A graveside service for Mr. Wright will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 30, at 11 a.m. in Southview Cemetery.
