NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Michael Joseph Spencer, 50, of North Adams died Friday, Feb. 26, 2016, at Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield.

Born in North Adams on June 10, 1965, a son of Emily Bleau Breen of North Adams, he graduated in 1984 from Drury High School, where he was a member of the varsity soccer team as a goalkeeper.

Mr. Spencer was employed for several years at the former Modern Anodizing Co. and as a roofer. He was last employed at the Cascade School Supply Co.

He was an avid golfer.

Besides his mother and his stepfather, Henry Breen III, he leaves his longtime companion, Jamie Hurley of North Adams; his loving children, two daughters, Jessica Spencer of North Adams and Stacy Kickery of Troy, N.Y.; and a son, J.T Spencer of Clarksburg; two stepchildren, Kimberly Oxford and Joseph Butler, both of North Adams; four sisters, Lisa Walters and Amy Strange, both of North Adams, Elsa Moreno of Lanesborough and Lori Spencer of Drury; four brothers, Milton Spencer Jr., Matthew Spencer and Cory Spencer, all of North Adams and Chico Moreno of Adams, and six grandchildren.

FUNERAL NOTICE — Funeral services Mr. Spencer will take place Wednesday, March 2, at 11 a.m. at Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, West Chapels, 521 West Main St., North Adams.

Calling hours will be Wednesday morning from 9 to 11. In Lieu of flowers memorial donations are suggested for Popcares through the funeral home.
