WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. — Nancy Ellen Weyers, 82, of Williamstown, died Sunday, Feb. 28, 2016, at Centers for Living and Rehab in Bennington, Vt.

Born in North Adams on Jan. 8, 1934, daughter of Ernest C. and Jennie Estes Roberts, she graduated from the former Williamstown High School and from the former Bishop Memorial School of Nursing.

Mrs. Weyers was employed as a registered nurse for more than 50 years. She began working at the former Visiting Nurses in Williamstown and retired from Northern Berkshire Visiting Nurses in 1996.  

She enjoyed playing the organ and gardening.

She and her husband, Harold Joseph Weyers, were married on Nov. 19, 1955.

Besides her husband of 60 years, she leaves two daughters, Roberta Weyers and her fiance, Tom Treece, of Newmarket, N.H., and Sally Briley and her husband, Joshua, of Manchester, Conn.; a son, Patrick Weyers and his wife, Sharon, of Northfield; five grandchildren, Christopher, Benjamin and Brandi Weyers and Chase and Kayla Briley, and nieces and nephews.

Her brother, Ernest A. Roberts, is deceased.

FUNERAL NOTICE — Services for Mrs. Weyers will be private and burial will be in Eastlawn Cemetery.
