NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Antoinette Constance Caccavo, 96, of Hanover, formerly of North Adams, died Saturday, Feb. 27, 2016, at South Shore Hospital in Weymouth.

Born in North Adams on Aug. 24, 1919, daughter of Sabato and Maria Totino Caccavo, she attended Adams schools and graduated from Newman Prep School in Boston. She also graduated from the Massachusetts General Hospital School of Radiology.

Miss Caccavo was employed as a technician in the Radiology Department of Boston University Hospital and also taught radiology there for 27 years, until her retirement in 1983.  

She moved to Hanover in 1993 and was a communicant of St. Mary of the Nativity Church in Scituate. She enjoyed oil painting and was a member of the Scituate Art Society. She was also a member of the Thunderbolt Ski Club.

She leaves several nephews and cousins.  

Her brother, Edward Caccavo, died in 1990.

FUNERAL NOTICE — Services and burial for Miss Caccavo will be at a time to be announced in the spring.
