Delia B. Andrews, 75

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Delia Blanche Lewis Andrews, 75, of North Adams died on Monday, March 14, 2016 at North Adams Commons.

She was born in Adams on Jan. 9, 1941, a daughter of Charles Henry Jr. & Blanche (Dubie) Lewis.

She attended schools in Adams and was employed at Hunter Machine Company and later employed at the former Adams Nursing Home on Franklin Street. She also was a home health aide for several families.

Mrs. Andrews was a communicant of Notre Dame Church and later St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church. She loved her dogs and cats.

She married Leo Joseph Andrews on May 10, 1958, in North Adams. He died on April 13, 2001. She also was predeceased by one brother, Alfred Lewis, and three sisters, Norma Lecuyer, Shirley Gazaille and Constance Gentile.

She is survived by two daughters, Donna Thomas and her husband Robert of North Adams and Robin Haskins of Adams, and one son, Richard A. Andrews and his wife Barbara of North Adams; two sisters, Roma Andrews of Florida and Mildred Gould of Chicopee; nine grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

FUNERAL NOTICE: A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, March 18, at 11 a.m. at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery.

Calling hours will be Friday, March 18, from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals Central Chapel at 74 Marshall St. Memorial donations may be made in her memory to the funeral home.
