Donna G. Casuscelli

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Donna Gail (Raedel) Bachand Casuscelli died on Tuesday, April 5, 2016 at home surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on September 4, 1949, in Fort Worth, Texas, a daughter of the late Donald Raedel and Theresa (Vallieres) Raedel Burris. She moved with her family to North Adams in 1963 to be where her parents grew up.

She was a 1968 graduate of McCann Cosmetology and became a licensed hair dresser. She also worked at the Diet Center of the Berkshires. She was the proprietor of the cleaning service “This Lady Cleans with TLC."

She was a communicant of St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church and a life member of the Greylock Community Club. She was an accomplished seamstress and quilter as well as an incredible artist who enjoyed painting landscapes and barns. Her other hobbies included gardening and travel. She was an avid golfer and loved to play pitch.

Survivors include her husband, Frank M. Casuscelli, whom she married on November 24, 2000, in St. Anthony of Padua Church in North Adams; her loving daughters, Monique Bolte and her husband Travis and Angelique Slocik and Chuck; sons Edward Bachand Jr and his wife eather, Bryan Casuscelli and his wife Wendy, Christopher Casuscelli and Jonathan Casuscelli; grandchildren McKayla and McKensie Brooke DiGennaro, Nicholas and Samantha Slocik, Bryce and Kaley Bachand, Larina Ford, Kasey Casuscelli and Giada Casuscelli; her sister, Barbara Bass and her husband Ray; her brother, Wayne Raedel and his wife Linda; her sister-in-law Debra Casuscelli Blanchard and her fiancé Frank Vigna; many nieces and nephews; her former husband Edward R. Bachand Sr.; and her aunt, Marie Helene Delise.

She was predeceased by a daughter, Simone Bachand; and uncle Robert and Linda Raedel, who treated her like a daughter.

Funeral notice: A liturgy of Christian Burial to celebrate the life of Donna Gail Casuscelli will be held on Saturday, April 9, 2016, at 8:45 a.m. at the St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church. Burial will follow in the family plot in Southview Cemetery.

Calling hours will be on Friday evening, April 8, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, West Chapel, 521 West Main St., North Adams. Donations may be made to the Pop Cares, Caleb Jacobbe Fund, or Hospice Care in the Berkshires through the funeral home.

I had the extreme pleasure of meeting Donna through work. She was so genuine and kind. She truly cared about people. And her talents were beyond amazing. My deepest sympathy to her family, she will be missed by many.

Donna has recently become a friend through the great friendship of our daughters ( Angelique and Darcy). We have made some nice memories recently, which I will treasure. Donna was a fun loving person with a great spirit. I wish we had time for more memories.
