Thomas D. Cahalan, 36

PERU, Mass. — Thomas D. Cahalan, 36, of Peru died Sunday, April 3, 2016, at Berkshire Medical Center.

He was born in Pittsfield on November 19, 1979, the son of Thomas F. and Linda Savery Cahalan. He attended Lee schools and graduated from Lee High School.

He was a Barehand Journeymen Lineman for Par Electric. To say the least, he was the best of the best, a true tough breed of men. He was part of the safety committee and storm restoration team. He belonged to the IBEW Local 42 Brotherhood, he was dedicated to his crew and had a passion for his work.

He was always willing and able to travel across the country for emergency storm work and disaster relief, working in extreme conditions with no fear or hesitation. Tom, under the most difficult and extreme situation, kept his calm and always had an easy smile. He treated all with dignity and respect. This man was one of a kind, no other like him. He loved the outdoors, hunting, traveling and motorcycles. Most of all he loved and enjoyed being a beloved father, dedicated to his daughter, Teagan.

Besides his daughter Teagan and his parents, Thomas and Linda of South Lee, he is survived by his sister, Jessica Robertson, her husband John and their children McKenna and Ethan of Millville, Penn.

He was predeceased by another sister, Michelle.
