Dorothy J. Ellsworth, 67

ALBANY, N.Y. — Dorothy Jean (Gorman) Ellsworth, 67, of Pittstown, N.Y., formerly of Williamstown, passed away suddenly on May 9, 2016, at the Albany Medical Center.
She was born in North Adams on February 13, 1949, a daughter of Theresa (Langlois) Gorman and the late Gerald Gorman. She graduated from St. Joseph High School in North Adams and received her register nursing degree from Vermont Technical College.
Dorothy was employed as a registered nurse for many years at the Williamstown Commons, Crescent Manor and last at Sweet Brook Health Care Center, where she was the Facility Educator.
She loved caring for others and spending every possible moment with her husband, children, and grandchildren. Her favorite pass times were reading her Kindle and watching a good movie.
Survivors include her mother, Theresa Gorman of Williamstown; her husband of 49 years, Daniel Ellsworth, whom she married April 19, 1967; four loving daughters, Melissa Janes and her husband Joseph of Heath, Mass., Wendy Marcil of North Adams, Heidi Baj and her husband Chris of Hadley, Mass., and Betsy Wright of Easthampton, Mass.; five grandchildren, Bryan Ellsworth, Shalee Martin, Kerissa Wright, Garett Wright and Hunter Baj; four great-grandchildren, Jayse, Jaren, Aliya and Remi; two brothers, Peter and John Gorman; and a sister Frances Ferris.
She was predeceased by a sister, Geraldine Daub; and a son-in-law; Joseph Marcil.
