'Siggy' Segalla

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Albert "Siggy" Segalla, 93, of North Adams died Sunday, May 15, 2016, at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield. 

He was born in Pittsfield on February 19, 1923, a son of the late John and Jennie (Casali) Segalla and attended schools in North Adams. 

He was first employed at the former Arnold Print Works and later was the owner and operator of a social club in North Adams and a golf driving range on State Road in North Adams.

His wife, Marion (Matney) Segalla, died March 26, 2015. 

Survivors include two children, Melissa Segalla and her husband Eric Trumble, Lt Col. USAF Retired, and Marc Segalla and his wife Kathy; three grandchildren, Chad and Jessica Cellana and Staci Segalla; and several nieces and nephews. 

Siggy was predeceased by a sister, Loretta Douglas; and two brothers, Frank and Joseph Segalla.

knew ZIGGY all my life as he was close to my father aldo a one of kind person he along with serveral others from that time should have had a book written about them .. the really great days in north adams made better because of guys like ZIGGY
