LANESBOROUGH, Mass. — Angela Soares Troy died Wednesday, June 1, 2016, at her home in Lanesborough.

A former resident of Swansea, Mass., Angela was born March 17, 1979, to parents Steven and Michelle Soares. She was the proud and devoted mother of Cole Jollimore and Lucy Troy and loving Life Partner to Paul Thayer.

She is survived by her sisters Amanda Ratez and Alison Gray and by many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Angela was an avid reader, had an inquisitive nature and loved culture, arts, music and history. She was graduated with honors from Case High School in 1997 and Bristol Community College in 2000 with her degree in nursing. Angela began her career in nursing at St. Anne's Hospital in Fall River, representing the third generation of her family to do so. Her nursing career continued in Pittsfield at Berkshire Medical Center.

 Angela had great capacity and compassion for nursing that began at the age of 12 as she cared for her ailing grandmother Yvonne LeBlanc. She will be sadly missed by all.

Funeral notice: Calling hours for Angela Troy will be Wednesday, June 8, 2016, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Flynn & Dagnoli-Bencivenga Funeral Home, 5 Elm St., Pittsfield. Graveside services will be held on Thursday, June 9, in the Notre Dame Cemetery in Fall River, Mass.
