Daniel F. Dupuis, 70

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Daniel Francis Dupuis, 70, of North Adams died Tuesday, June 7, 2016, at Berkshire Medical Center. 

He was born in North Adams on October 27, 1945, son of the late J. Edmour & Alice (Marceau) Dupuis. 

Daniel graduated from Drury High School in 1963 and then from North Adams State College in 1972 with a degree in Biology. He was a member of the National Guard. 

Daniel first worked as a Sales Representative at Parke & Davis. He was the longtime co-owner of Boucher & Dupuis painting contractors in North Adams. Daniel was a modest volunteer who donated not only his labor, but his talent in maintaining and improving several North Adams athletic complexes including Joe Wolfe Field. 

He was the former vice president of the North Adams Youth Football League and enjoyed horse racing at Saratoga. 

Survivors include his wife Ellen Ann (Law) Dupuis, whom he married on August 3, 1968, in Our Lady of Incarnation Church; one daughter, Allison Dupuis of Philadelphia; one son, Aaron Dupuis and his wife Colleen of Manhattan; one grandson, Jason Ronan “JR” Dupuis; one brother, Richard N. Dupuis of Rochester, N.Y.; one sister, Yvette Walsh of Florida; and nieces and nephews. 

He was predeceased by his son, Jason Alfred Dupuis, who died on July 29, 1987.

Funeral notice: A Liturgy of Christian Burial to celebrate the life of Daniel Dupuis will be celebrated on Saturday, June 11, 2016, at 11 a.m. at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery. 

Calling hours for family and friends will be Friday, June 10, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, West Chapels, 521 West Main St., North Adams. Donations may be made to the Joe Wolfe Field Fund in care of the funeral home.
