Steven E. Pierce, 51

POWNAL, Vt. — Steven Edward Pierce, 51, of Pownal, Vt., died on Wednesday, Aug. 3, 2016, at Mass General Hospital in Boston.

He was born in North Adams, Mass., on April 7, 1965, a son of Francis & Lorraine “Bunny” (Noel) Pierce. Steven graduated from Mt. Greylock High School with the class of 1983. He was a self employed trucker, operating Steven Pierce DBA Fran's Trucking.  He was also a landscaper and loved working on the Haley Farm and throwing hay, nature, animals and spending time with his family and friends. 

He loved NASCAR, especially driver #14 Tony Stewart, the Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots. 

Steven leaves his wife, Frances (Haley) Pierce, whom he married on June 4, 1994, in St. Patrick’s Church; two sisters, Sandra Kaczowski of Pittsfield and Connie and her husband Matt Huttle of Clarksburg, Mass.; three brothers, Francis Pierce Jr. and his wife Lisa of Pittsfield, Mass., Donald Pierce and his wife Denise of North Adams, and Jay Pierce of Atlanta, Ga.; his best friend and brother-in-law “brother” Richard Haley Jr. and his wife Jodi of Williamstown; sister-in-law Sarah Tovani and her husband Wayne of North Adams; and nieces and nephews, including Richie Haley III, Spencer Haley, Kiana Tovani, Jackie Pierce, Julie Pierce, Michelle Pierce (Godchild), Kristen Pierce, Meagan Huttle, Travis Kaczowski and Amy Kaczowski. 

He was predeceased by a niece, Melissa Kaczowski. 

Funeral notice: A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Steven Edward Pierce will celebrated Wednesday, Aug. 10, 2016, at 11 a.m. at Sts. Patrick and Raphael Church, Williamstown. Burial will follow in Eastlawn Cemetery. 

Calling hours will be at Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, West Chapel, 521 West Main St., North Adams, on Tuesday, Aug. 9, from 4 to 7 p.m. Donations may be made to St. Patrick's Food Pantry in care of the funeral home.

I have known Steve for years and was a Warm,Loving and Caring person.............I will miss him ...........he was a Great guy.......I so sorry for the family and their loss.
