Gwendolyn A. Bushika, 84

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Gwendolyn Ann (Jones) Bushika, 84, of North Adams and formerly of Stamford, Vt., died Thursday, August 18, 2016, at Southwestern Vermont Medical Center.
She was born in Pittsfield, Mass., on May 4, 1932, daughter of Margaret Schmidt Zanella. She attended North Adams schools, including the Haskins School.
Gwen was last employed by General Cable Co. in Williamstown. She also operated a ceramics shop called "Ceramics by Gwen." She was the longtime cemetery commissioner for the Town of Stamford.
She was the widow of Joseph Bushika Jr., who died on December 8, 2013. They were married on October 11, 1947.
Survivors include one son, Joseph Bushika III of Clarksburg, two daughters, Donna Bushika of Palmer, Ala., and Barbara Malinowski of Stamford, Vt.; eight grandchildren; 13 great=grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; her stepsister, Sarah Lowry of North Adams; and nieces and nephews.
Her granddaughter, Billie Joelle Fowler, died in 1987, and her sister Betty Bushika is deceased.
Funeral notice: The funeral for Gwendolyn Bushika will be Tuesday, Aug. 23, 2016, at 9 a.m. at Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, West Chapels, 521 West Main St., North Adams. Burial will follow in Millard Cemetery.
Calling hours are Monday, Aug. 22, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to the National Fibromyalgia and Chronic Pain Association in care of the funeral home.
