Alberta Jean Brady-Till

WINDSOR, Mass. — Alberta Jean Brady-Till, formerly of Windsor, died Monday, October 10, 2016, at Mt. Greylock Extended Care Facility in Pittsfield.
She was born in Saranac Lake, N.Y., the daughter of Edmund and Loretta Parker Moody, and was a direct descendant of Jacob Moody, founder of Saranac Lake. She attended schools in Saranac Lake and was a graduate of Saranac Lake High School.
Mrs. Brady-Till was employed by J.H. Maxymillian Inc. as a heavy equipment operator. She was a member of the Windsor Congregational Church. She was an avid hunter. She also enjoyed crafts and travel.
Mrs. Brady-Till leaves her husband, William "Bill" Till, whom she married October 3, 1987; two sons, Thomas Brady of Pittsfield and Patrick Brady of Windsor; a daughter, Nanette (and David) Pelkey of Crown Point, N.Y.; a sister, Fay Rice of New Orleans; a stepson, Michael (and Gaynor) Till of Richmond; nine grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by a daughter, Dorothy "Dody" Brady; a sister, Barbara Beaudin; and a daughter-in-law, Patricia Brady.
Funeral notice: Funeral services for Alberta Jean Brady-Till will be held Thursday, October 13, 2016, at 7 p.m., at the Dery-Foley Funeral Home in Dalton with the Rev. Charles P. Young, a chaplain with HospiceCare in The Berkshires, officiating. Calling hours will precede the service beginning at 4 p.m.
Burial will be on Friday, October 14, 2016, at 11:30 a.m. at Hill Cemetery in Windsor, following which friends are invited to join the family for a reception at the Windsor Town Hall. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Mrs. Brady-Till and her daughter, Dody, may be made to Moments House, 34 Depot Street, Pittsfield.
