Chari E. Millard, 56

ADAMS, Mass. — Mrs. Chari Elizabeth (Casper) Millard, 56, of 6 South Willow St., Adams, died on Monday, November 14, 2016, at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield. 

She was born in Evansville, Indiana, on October 27, 1960, a daughter of the late Ervin Casper and Elizabeth (Doe) Casper Oparowski. She moved to Adams as a child and attended schools there. She received a certificate in Early Childhood Education from Berkshire Community College. 

For the last 10 years Mrs. Millard worked for the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts Dining Services. She had also worked at the Red Carpet Restaurant, Adams, the former Ground Round Restaurant at the Berkshire Mall and Berkshire County Head Start. 

She was a longtime member of the former St. Mark's Episcopal Church, Adams. She enjoyed traveling to the ocean and, in most recent years, visiting the Florida beaches. 

Her husband, Michael L. Millard, whom she married on May 27, 1976, died on November 14, 2002. 

She is survived by her stepfather, Matthew Oparowski of Adams; five sons, Michael Millard Jr. and his wife Marcia of Cheshire, Joshua Millard of North Adams, William Millard and his husband Rishid Sarkis of Winter Haven, Fla., Matthew Millard and his fiancé Cassie LaChance of Cheshire and Jacob Millard and his fiancé Jasmin Figueroa of Adams; three daughters, Elizabeth LeSage and her husband Mathew of Adams, Elise Cross and her husband William of Adams, and Jacqueline Millard of Adams; 12 grandchildren; three nieces; one nephew; and many close friends. 

She was predeceased by two brothers, William and Ricky Casper; and by a sister, Patricia Fletcher. 

Funeral notice: The funeral service will be held on Friday, November 18, 2016, at 7 p.m. in the Paciorek Funeral Home, 13 Hoosac St., Adams. Burial will be at a later date at the convenience of the family. 

Calling hours are Friday from 4 p.m. until the time of the service in the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to Elizabeth LeSage, 6 Valley St., Adams, MA 01220.
