BENNINGTON, Vt. — Trevor "Guy" Gardner, 38, a resident of Johnson Hill Road, Hoosick Falls, N.Y., passed away Friday, November 11, 2016. 

Trevor was born in Bennington on November 28, 1977 the son of Bruce Gardner and Cindy Hurley. He attended schools in Hoosick Falls, graduating from Hoosick Falls High School. Trevor completed a five year apprentice course in the field of Sprinkler and Pipe Fitting from Penn State University. He has worked as both sprinkler and pipe fitter for over fifteen years as a member of Local 669 Sprinkler Fitters Union. 

Trevor enjoyed hunting, fishing and kayaking. He enjoyed sitting around a fire, listening to all aspects of music and was a Chicago Bears Football fan. 

Trevor is survived by his mother, Cindy Shortt of Bennington; father Bruce Gardner of Hoosick Falls; brothers Jake Gardner of Cambridge, N.Y., and Joshua Weaver of Petersburg, N.Y.; stepbrothers Eric and Paul Shortt; stepsister Lisa Rampola; nieces Hannah Gardner, Erica Scott and Ashley Franklin; nephews Matthew Gardner and Jacob Shortt; a very special friend whom he considered a son, Skylar; and many other nieces, nephews, cousins and many very good friends. 

Funeral notice: A celebration of life for Trevor will be held November 27, 2016, at noon at the Cambridge, N.Y., American Legion.
