Shirley A. Therrien, 76

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Shirley Ann (Belair) Therrien, 76, of North Adams died Tuesday, December 13, 2016, at the Springside Nursing Home in Pittsfield, Mass.
She was born in Pittsfield on April 17, 1940, a daughter to the late Joseph Belair and Simone (Belval) Belair Wojcik. She attended schools in Pittsfield and Adams, Mass., including the former Notre Dame Church School and Adams High School.
Mrs. Therrien was an accomplished seamstress and was employed by local textile companies in the area, retiring in 1991 from Western Massachusetts Outerwear Co. She was a communicant of St. Elizabeth Church in North Adams.
She married Donald A. Therrien on November 8, 1958 in Notre Dame Church in Adams. Mr. Therrien died on May 4, 1997.
Survivors include her daughter, Bonnie Therrien of Hinsdale, Mass.; son, Donald A. Therrien Jr. of North Adams; five grandchildren, Michael Donovan Jr., Christopher Therrien, Matthew Therrien, April Therrien and Mark Therrien; three great-grandchildren, Ella, Colbe and Savannah; two sisters, Mary Cole of the state of Florida and Linda Munsinger of Lebanon, N.Y.; two brothers, John Wojcik and David Wojcik, both of Pittsfield; and many nieces and nephews and grand nieces and grand nephews.
Funeral notice: A funeral service to celebrate the life of Shirley Ann Therrien will be held at Flynn and Dagnoli Funeral Home, Central Chapel, 74 Marshall St., North Adams, on Friday, December 16, 2016, at 6 p.m. Burial will follow in the spring in Southview Cemetery.
Calling hours will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. prior to the service at the Flynn and Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals. Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Assoc through the funeral home.
