Charles M. Senter, 90

LEE, Mass. - Charles M. Senter, 90, of East Street, Lee, died Tuesday evening, December 13, 2016, at home surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Pittsfield July 24, 1926, he was the son of James and Eleanor Ebenbeck Senter. Charles was raised and educated in Pittsfield.
Mr. Senter proudly served his country in the United States Navy during World War II from 1943 until his honorable discharge in 1946. He then went to work for General Electric Company, from which he retired in 1986 after 40 years of service.
Mr. Senter was involved with the Lee High School House Building Program from 1988 until 2008. He was a former member of the Lee Fire Department and past president of Kiwanis. Mr. Senter was also a communicant of St. Mary’s Church in Lee.
Mr. Senter leaves behind his wife, the former Patricia Derrick, whom he married July 29, 1950; four daughters, Lynda S. Brazee and her husband Austin of Lenox Dale, Andrea S. Baker and her husband Peter of Lee, Sharon I. Ewaskie and her husband David of Naugatuck, Conn., and Marguerite Senter Keefner and her husband Mark of Pittsfield; 10 grandchildren, Amanda, Nicholas, Laura, Brian, Jennifer, Roxanne, Nicole, Ashley, Katherine and Stephanie; 10 great-grandchildren, Domenic, Alexandre, Luca, Josephine, Violet, Conner, Hayden, Ryan, Lauren and Dillon; and his brother-in-law Richard Cook and sister-in-law Margaret Derrick.
Mr. Senter was predeceased by his brother, James; and his sister, Rosemary Cook.
Funeral notice: Funeral services for Charles M. Senter will be held Friday, December 16, 2016, at 10 a.m. at the Kelly Funeral Home with Rev. Brian McGrath, Pastor, officiating. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery. There are no calling hours.
