Bernard R. Barbeau, 84

ADAMS, Mass. — Mr. Bernard R. Barbeau, 84, of Adams died Friday morning, December 14, 2016, at Berkshire Medical Center.
He was born in North Adams on June 8, 1932, a son of the late Rouville and Regina (Clermont) Barbeau, and attended North Adams Schools.
He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict, serving with the US Army in Korea until his Honorable Discharge as a Sergeant. Mr. Barbeau worked at the former Sprague Electric Co. in North Adams for over forty years, until retiring.
He was a communicant of St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, Adams, and was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and St. Michael's Society.
He enjoyed gardening, going to polka events, and could fix most anything.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, the former Celia H. Wegrzyn, whom he married on May 5, 1956; two sons, David Barbeau and his wife Patti of Drury, Mass., and Kevin Barbeau of Reynolds, N.D.; a daughter, Tanya Barbeau and her spouse, Stacey Jackson, of Raynham, Mass.; a sister, Lorraine Lepel and her husband, Ronald, of Sun City Center, Ariz.; his seven grandchildren, Sarah, Robert, Jacob, Cole, Luke, Justin and Jasmyne; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
He was predeceased by his four brothers, William, Robert, Richard and Francis "Eddie" Barbeau.
Funeral notice: The funeral will be held on Thursday, December 22, 2016, at 10 a.m. from the Paciorek Funeral Home, 13 Hoosac St. Adams, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, Adams. Burial will follow in St. Stanislaus Kostka Cemetery, Adams.
Calling hours are Wednesday, December 21, 2016, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to any charity of the donor's choice.
