Vivian M. Mould, 98

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Vivian May (Brown) Belanger Mould, 98, of North Adams died Tuesday, December 27, 2016, at Williamstown Commons.

She was born in Warren, Vt., on August 31, 1918, daughter of Vaughn K. and Hazel A. (Thayer) Brown.  She attended schools in Warren and graduated from the former Montpelier Seminary in 1936.

Vivian was first employed at the Vermont Farm Bureau in the Vermont State House until moving to North Adams in 1938.  She worked at the Sprague Electric Co. for over 40 years until her retirement in 1981.

Vivian was a member of the First Congregational Church of North Adams and was a member of its Coral Club and Church Mice. She was also a member of the Sprague Quarter Century Club and the Sprague Retirees. Vivian was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family.

She was the widow of John Joseph Mould, who died on July 4, 1980. They were married on April 23, 1955.

Survivors include two daughters, Kathryn Hiser of Loveland, Colo., and Patricia Luczynski and her husband John of Williamstown; 13 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Sherwood Brown of Lancaster, N.H.; her daughter in law, Linda Belanger of Adams; and nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.

Her son, Thomas W. Belanger, died August 18, 2016, and her daughter, Joan Belanger, died March 14, 2011. Two sisters and one brother are deceased, including Glennis Weston, Stella Bessette and Mark Brown.

Funeral notice: The funeral for Vivian Mould will be Saturday, December 31, 2016, at 10 a.m. at the First Congregational Church of North Adams.  Burial will be in Southview Cemetery.

Calling hours at Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, West Chapels, 521 West Main St., North Adams, are Friday, December 30, 2016, from 4 to 7 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the First Congregational Church of North Adams in care of the funeral home.

Sincere sympathy Pat and family on the passing of your mother. I enjoyed visiting her at The Commons and knowing her from church. She was such a sweet, positive, cheerful person at all times and will be missed by many.
