Margaret Beaudin, 90

ADAMS, Mass. — Margaret Beaudin, 90, of 1 Berkshire Square passed away Thursday, December 29, 2016, at the Sweet Brook Nursing Home in Williamstown.

Born in Adams on January 15, 1926, daughter of the late Dr. James F. and Margaret McEvoy McLaughlin, she attended Adams schools and was a 1944 graduate of the former Adams High School. She also was also a graduate from St. Elizabeth's College in Morristown, N.J., in 1948 with a BA in English Literature.

Margaret was employed as a teacher for many years for the Adams Cheshire Regional School District, retiring in 1987. She was a communicant of the former St. Thomas Aquinas Church in Adams, and was an avid reader.

Her husband Donald Beauden, whom she married on July 26, 1953, died September 26, 2004.

She is survived by a son, James A. Beaudin, and his companion Diane Sulpizi of Bennington, Vt.; a sister, Ruth McBride and her husband Anthony of Adams; and nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by two sisters, Mary Mikutowicz and Ann Silicano.

Funeral notice: The funeral for Margaret will take place Wednesday, January 4, 2017, at 9 a.m. from the Trottier Pringle Funeral Home, 6 Summer St., Adams, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Notre Dame Church in Adams, celebrated by the Rev. Steven G. Montesanti, Pastor.

Burial will follow in Bellevue Cemetery in Adams. Calling hours at the funeral home will be Tuesday, January 4, 2017, from 4 to 7 p.m. Donations in her memory can be made to the Pope John Paul Food Pantry or the Second Chance Animal Shelter in care of the funeral home.

Peg was an outstandingly fine Lady. Always classy with a quick wit. I enjoyed sharing the teaching profession with her. Her book recommendations were also top notch. RIP
