Irene M. LaFleur, 84

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Irene Marie (Bombardier) LaFleur, 84, of North Adams died Thursday, January 5, 2017, at her home.
She was born in Adams, Mass., on July 5, 1932, daughter of Alfred and Alexina (Viens) Bombardier. She attended Adams schools and graduated from Adams High School with the class of 1950.
Irene worked at Sprague Electric Co. for 13 years until her retirement. She and her husband also operated a well-known craft business where she specialized in meticulous sewing and painting wooden figurines.
Irene was a communicant of St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church and was a member of the Gold Card Club.
She was the widow of Wallace Kermit LaFleur, who died on July 31, 2014. They were married on September 23, 1950.
Survivors include two daughters, Sherry LaFleur of Adams and Shelly LaFleur-Morris of St. Albans, Vt.; three grandchildren, Danielle Menard, Ryan Menard and Joshua Morris; two sisters, Alice Rollman of Williamstown and Dorothy Morgan of Adams; and nieces and nephews.
Funeral notice: The funeral for Irene LaFleur will be celebrated Tuesday, January 10, 2017, at 11 a.m. at Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, West Chapels, 521 West Main St., North Adams. Burial will be in the spring in Southview Cemetery.
A calling hour will be held Tuesday morning from 10-11 a.m. Memorial donations may be made to the North Adams Ambulance Service in care of the funeral home.
