Lisa L. Thibert, 47

CLARKSBURG, Mass. — Lisa Lynn (Lafontaine) Thibert, 47, of Clarksburg passed away on Monday, January 9, 2017, at Berkshire Medical Center after a long and courageous battle with cancer.

Lisa was born on February 22, 1969, in North Adams, Mass., to the late David and Sandra (Dubie) Lafontaine. Lisa was a 1987 Drury High School graduate and a 1991 Berkshire Community College graduate. Lisa was a self employed day care provider in Clarksburg for over 20 years, during which time she loved and taught countless children all of whom she welcomed into her home and her heart.

Lisa will always be loved and remembered by her devoted husband, Arthur (AJ) J. Thibert Jr. and her loving daughters, Jacklyn Therrien of Sunderland, Mass., and Allison Therrien, Jamie Thibert and Tessa Thibert, all at home. She is also survived by her sister, Kim Lafontaine also of Clarksburg.

She was predeceased by a daughter, Lacey Rae Thibert, in December 2002.

Her greatest joy was being a mother to her children and a wife to AJ. Lisa loved to listen to AJ sing and to hold on tight during a motorcycle ride, listening to her daughters share their stories and days with her, and spoiling her many four legged children. Lisa will always be remembered for her infectious smile, her bright blue eyes and her incredible hugs. She radiated positivity and love in everything she did and to everyone she met.

Funeral notice: A liturgy of Christian burial to celebrate the life of Lisa Thibert will be celebrated on Monday, January 16, 2017 at 10 a.m. at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church in North Adams.

Calling hours will be on Sunday, January 15, 2017, from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, West Chapel, 521 West Main St., North Adams. Donations may be made to her husband to help with medical expenses.

You taught me how to smile when life gave me nothing to smile about, you taught me how to be strong in my weakest moments, you put your hand on my face and called me a beautiful soul and made me feel that way. You have me advice when I needed it the most. We were the only "other moms" that we allowed our girls to call 2nd mom. Some of Ingrids greatest childhood memories were spent with you and your family. I feel honored to have called you my friend and my family. The impact you made on my life was so incredible. All of us who loved you are at such a loss. Heaven gained an angel. Spread your wings mama and fly. I love you. Thank you for being such an amazing, beautiful, strong and courageous woman. Shine bright like the star that you are. Forever remembered and always loved, Eryn Jaye Brickey💙💓💓💓💓
