Robert J. Driscoll Sr., 84

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Robert John Driscoll Sr., 84, of North Adams died Friday, January 20, 2017, at Hillcrest Commons.
He was born in Weymouth, Mass., on October 6, 1932, son of William and Beatrice (Quigley) Driscoll. He attended schools in Lynn.
Robert was a veteran of the Korean War and served in the U.S. Marines. He later served in the Navy Reserves and the Army Reserves.
Robert worked as a chef at "The Continental" in Saugus, Mass., for many years. He was a communicant of St. Mary, Our Lady of Sorrows Church in Masaryktown, Fla. He enjoyed prospecting for gold and collecting rocks. He also enjoyed travel.
Survivors include his wife, Claire Marguerite (Nault) Driscoll, whom he married on July 3, 1993; six daughters, Marguerite Thomas of North Adams, Clarene DeRosier of Bethel, Conn., Darlene Harris of Haverhill, Mass., Cynthia Reifel and Kendra Bornstein of Bradford, Mass., and Stephanie Driscoll of Boxford, Mass.; and three sons, Thomas Errichetto of Brooksville, Fla., and Robert J. Driscoll Jr. and Douglas Driscoll of Boxford, Mass.; 15 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one sister, Beatrice Flack of San Diego, Calif.; and nieces and nephews.
A brother, William Driscoll Jr. is deceased.
Funeral notice: A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Robert Driscoll will be celebrated Monday, January 23, 2017, at 11 a.m. at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church. Burial will be in the spring in Southview Cemetery.
Calling hours at are Monday morning from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, Central Chapel, 74 Marshall St., North Adams. Memorial donations may be made to HospiceCare in the Berkshires in care of the funeral home.
