William S. Tattersall, 80

ADAMS, Mass. — William S. Tattersall, 80, of Adams, died Saturday morning, January 28, 2017, at Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield. 

He was born in Adams on November 10, 1936, a son of the late Richard and Josephine (Zdon) Tattersall. He attended local schools, and graduated from the former Adams High School with the Class of 1954. He served with the US Air Force during the Vietnam Era, from 1957 until 1960. 

Mr. Tattersall last worked as a machine operator at the former General Cable Co. and its predecessor, Cornish Wire Co. in Williamstown, until retiring. Earlier, he had worked at the former Sprague Electric Co. in North Adams. 

He was a former member of Berkshire Lodge of Masons, Adams, and was a Shriner. 

His wife, the former Judith L. Krzeminski, whom he married on November 29, 1974, died on October 9, 2004. 

He is survived by his daughter, Rebecca Tattersall, and his daughter-in-law, Kelly S. Gardner, of North Adams; a granddaughter, Tiara Toomey of North Adams; three great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Lilly Tattersall; a niece, Joanne Tattersall and her husband Jeffrey Webber, both of West Springfield, Mass.; and a nephew, James Tattersall, of Adams. 

He was predeceased by his brother, Richard E. Tattersall. 

Funeral notice: Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 1, 2017, at noon in the Paciorek Funeral Home, 13 Hoosac St. Adams. Rev. Robert Miskell of the Parish of St. John Paul II will officiate. 

Burial will be at a later date in Bellevue Cemetery, Adams. Calling hours are Wednesday from 11 a.m. until the service.
