Born in North Adams, Massachusetts on Oct. 29, 1932, he was a son of the late Nicholas and Loretta (Chenail) Petropulos. A graduate of Drury High School, Class of 1950, George was a football, track and basketball standout, and was recruited to play football for Boston University on a full athletic scholarship. He later transferred to North Adams Teachers College, where he played basketball and received his bachelor's degree in 1954.

years, shooting a 7 under par 65.

In 1994, George and his wife, Mary relocated to Florida, where they resided for over twenty years before moving to Hudson, NH in July of 2017. A devoted husband, father and grandfather, George loved spending time with family, and

I am truly sad to hear about your dad's & mom's passing. It was a shock to hear it. It seems our parents are all going this year and that leaves us to be the responsible ones. I believe they all knew we were ready and so were they. Strength sent out to all of you. Sincerely, Marie

To the family of Mr. George Petropulos, I am so very sorry for your loss & extend my sympathies. Mr. Petropolus was my teacher for both 7th & 8th grades at Brayton School in the 60ís. By far, he was one of my most favorite teachers. Loved his teaching style & his interactions with students. .
How fortunate that so many North Adams students had the opportunity to benefit from having him as a teacher.

My most fond memory of Mr. P was when he took all of his class at Brayton down to the Hoosic River as we all took turns driving golf balls into the river. You never forget days like that. Was a great man and one heck of a golfer.
My deepest condolences to the family.
