Peter J. Wojcik, 67

ADAMS, Mass. —  

Mr. Peter J. Wojcik, 67, of Adams, died Friday, May 7, 2021 at his home. He was born in Adams on December 21, 1953, a son of the late Frank A. and Monica C. (Paciorek) Wojcik, and attended Adams schools. He graduated from the former St. Joseph’s High School in North Adams with the Class of 1971.

He also attended the former North Adams State College. Pete worked at General Electric in Pittsfield for 40 years, until retiring as a health and safety inspector in the environmental services department. He was a member of the Greylock Community Club in North Adams, and enjoyed cooking, playing guitar, kayaking and camping. He is survived by his wife, the former Jamie E. (Todd) Rufo, whom he married on June 18, 1993; children, Christopher Wojcik and his wife, Stephanie, of West New York, NJ; Scott Wojcik of Orlando, FL; Jesse Rufo of Vermont and Stephanie Rufo of North Adams; two granddaughters, Aneesah and Madelyn; two brothers, Francis Wojcik and his wife, Susan, of Dalton; and Joseph Wojcik and his wife, Debbie, of Florida; as well as several nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, May 12th, from 4 to 6 PM at the PACIOREK FUNERAL HOME, 13 Hoosac St. Adams. Wearing of face masks and social distancing will be strictly enforced. Funeral services and burial will be private. Jamie.
I just saw this I am so sorry for your loss.
I did not not know him but you always looked happy when the two of were pictured on FB.
I can only imagine what you are going through .
Once is enough but not twice ?. Thinking of Peters family as well , keep him in your heart and he will be looking down you all and probably would want everyone to be strong and go on.

Peter was one year ahead of me at St. Joseph's but I remember him very well. He was a great guy. Always upbeat and friendly. His passing is very sad. My condolences to his family.

So sorry to hear of Pete's passing. I was very much looking forward to seeing him at our 50th HS reunion this fall. I enjoyed his Facebook posts on classic cars. He even found and posted my high school ride, a 1965 Pontiac Catalina, white with red interior. His impish smile will be greatly missed.
