Paul E. Vallieres, Jr.

ADAMS, Mass. —  

Mr. Paul E. Vallieres, Jr., 73, of Adams, died on Sunday, May 9, 2021 at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield.

He was born in North Adams on November 4, 1947, a son of Dorothy (Garceau) Vallieres and the late Paul E. Vallieres. He attended schools in North Adams.

Mr. Vallieres worked for many years at Specialty Minerals Inc., in Adams until his retirement.

He was a member of the Adams Lodge of Elks and was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed playing cards, darts and building puzzles. The simplest pleasures in life brought great joy to Paul. His easy going personality was contagious to everyone he met.

He is survived by his son, Erik Vallieres and his wife Kiersten of North Adams; two daughters, Nicky Vallieres and her wife Tara Gadarowski of Ewa Beach, Hawaii and Corrie Carter and her husband Daric of Durham, North Carolina; seven brothers, Arthur, Joseph, Robert, Gerard, Thomas, John and Mark Vallieres; five sisters, Dorothy Vallieres, Mary Blay, Pauline Longtin, Theresa Varieur and Polly Strange; nine grandchildren, Brady, Brennan, Bailey, Hazel, Quincy, Oliver, Skyler, Yasmin and Brooklyn. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Per the request of Mr. Vallieres there are no funeral services.

Memorial donations may be made to the Adams Outdoorsman for Youth, P.O. Box 122, Adams, MA 01220.

The PACIOREK FUNERAL HOME, 13 Hoosac St., Adams, is in charge of arrangements.

Even though I didn't know this guy in person, I did know Mary, Polly, Pauline, and Bob. My heart and sympathies goes out to them and the rest of the family. May God bless you with the comfort in knowing Paul is now welcomed to the heavens and watching you all.

To the whole Vallieres family, I am so sorry to hear of Paul's passing. Seems like just yesterday we were all playing together down on Mass Ave. I will always remember our card games, we had a lot of fun. He was greatly loved by many and will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
