David Dickinson,90

David Dickinson 90, of North Adams died Friday May 21, 2021 at his home. He was born in North Adams on April 10, 1931 a son of Alfred and Florence (Dubie) Dickinson. He attended schools in North Adams including Drury High School.

David was a proud decorated veteran of the United States Army serving as a sergeant during the Korean conflict; he was the recipient of the Bronze Star, United Nations Service Medal, Korean Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal and the Combat Infantry Badge for his heroic actions. He was employed for 41 years at the Sprague Electric Company as a painter. He enjoyed gardening, bowling, golfing, singing and dancing. His wife Arlene Ione (Tatro) Dickinson whom he married August 7, 1954 died January 18, 2018. Survivors include three daughters Laurie J. Boyer (David) of Hancock, MA. Marcia Lynn Alexander (William) of Lyles, TN. and Donna Lee (Todd) Tatro of North Adams, MA.; and one son David M. Dickinson of North Adams, MA. David also leaves four grandchildren Chad, Kristin, Erin and Emily and four great grandchildren Natalie, Madeline, Chloe and Arya ; one brother Alfred Dickinson Jr. He was predeceased by one sister Ellen DePaoli and three brothers Edmond, Francis and Louis Dickinson.

Graveside services with full military honors will take place Monday June 7, 2021 at 11:00 AM at the family plot in Southview Cemetery, North Adams, MA. In Lieu of flowers memorial donations are suggested for the North Adams American Legion through the Flynn &Dagnoli Funeral Home, WEST CHAPELS, 521 West Main St. North Adams, MA. 01247.
