David LeBeau,77

David Charles LeBeau, 77, of Adams, passed peacefully in the early hours of Wednesday, June 16, 2021. David was born in North Adams on September 27, 1943. Son of the late Andrew LeBeau and C. Helen (Rousselle) LeBeau. He attended schools in North Adams and graduated from Drury High School with the class of 1961. After high school, David attended the University of Massachusetts.

He first worked at Sprague Electric, after which he worked at GE Plastics. He then worked at Plastics Engineering Company (PLENCO) based in Sheboygan, WI for 24 years, from which he retired in 2003.

David was a communicant of Notre Dame Church in Adams, where he taught CCD for many years, preparing young adults for the sacrament of Confirmation. He lived a life of faith which he shared with his wife and family.

David loved the ocean, and he enjoyed his yearly trips to Plymouth. Later in life, he mastered the skill of wood carving, creating an impressive collection of small figurines.

David loved Christmas. Each year he made sure everyone received exactly what they wanted and then some. He took pride in the beautiful Christmas village he and his family would build every year. It started with one building many years ago and grew into a sprawling cityscape complete with suburbs, a main street, the North Pole, and a train going around the room.

Most of all, he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandson Brennan who spent the time not only as a grandson, but also as a great friend. David and Brennan shared many interests together, most notably their love of motorsports, visiting Lime Rock Park several times a year.

His grandson Asher has brought him an immense amount of joy these last three years. David and “the little guy” enjoyed spending time together listening to music, watching train videos, and eating lots of Pirate’s Booty!

David enjoyed his time spent with Beau. He always looked forward to their conversations where he would test Beau’s knowledge by asking thought-provoking questions, with answers that often had a funny twist.

David’s vast knowledge and intellect will be missed. There was never a question he didn’t have an answer to, and he loved introducing intriguing topics at all family gatherings.

David leaves his wife and best friend, the former Michele Choquette, whom he married on May 4, 1979. They built a beautiful marriage of 42 years and he was most proud of the wonderful family they were blessed to have. In addition to his wife, David leaves behind three children, Scott LeBeau and his wife, Jane of Cheshire, Amanda Lahey and her husband, John of Hancock, and Nicole LeBeau of Clarksburg; three grandsons, Brennan Houran, Asher Lahey, and Beau James Lahey; a sister, Susan Jowett; a brother, Douglas LeBeau; several brothers and sisters-in-law, and many nieces and nephews. Most importantly, he leaves behind a legacy in his grandsons Brennan, Asher, and Beau, of whom he was most proud.
