Ray White, 91

 

 

Ray George White, 91, of North Adams, passed away Monday, June 21, 2021 at Berkshire Medical Center.

He was born in Montpelier, VT on September 24, 1929 to Ralph and Elizabeth (Blair) White. He attended Brandon School in Brandon, VT.

grew up on a dairy farm in North Carrington, VT. His love for dairy farms was something that remained in heart throughout his life.

He was employed at General Electric in Pittsfield Building #64 for many years. He also worked part-time for Taconic Restaurant in Williamstown after his retirement

Ray was a member of All Saints Episcopal Church in North Adams.

Ray married the former Lila(Coury) White on August 27, 1967. She predeceased him on October 8, 2019.

is survived by his daughter Rachel Anderson. also leaves his step-children, Josephine Coleman (Bruce) and Louis Khoury, six grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. He also leaves his son-in-law Arthur Reilly. was predeceased by a son-in-law, Peter Anderson, his sister Pearl Gillis, brother, Ralph White, Jr. and his step-daughter, Karen Reilly.

His family would like to give special thanks to the staff at Berkshire Medical Center, especially the Cardiac Dept.

NOTICE: Calling hours for Ray George White will be Friday, June 25, 2021 from 9:30 -10:30 AM at FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR S WEST CHAPEL, 521 West Main St., North Adams, MA. Services will follow at All Saint’s Episcopal Church in North Adams at 11:00 AM. Memorial Donations are suggested to the Shriner's Children’s Hospital in care of the funeral home. I used to work with Ray at Taconic Restaurant. He had a great sense of humor and was such a hard worker. I would see him and your Mom out running errands and he always acted like a grump, but was really the sweetest man!
