STAMFORD, Vt. —  Donald Richard Tatro, 77 of Stamford died on Saturday, August 14, 2021 at Berkshire Medical Center. He was born in North Adams on December 6, 1943 a son of the late Wallace Stanley & Mabel (Sprague) Tatro.

Donald attended local schools and was employed at HA George Fuel & Oil Company also taking care of race horses for his employer for many years. Donald loved farming, fishing, hunting, and being in the outdoors.

His wife, Bettyann June (Goodreau) Burdick-Tatro died on October 13, 2014. Donald leaves two sons, Scott Tatro & Shawn Tatro and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren. He also leaves his step sons, William Burdick, Michael Burdick, David Burdick, Randy Burdick, Keith Burdick and Jeff Burdick and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. He also leaves sisters Betty Whitaker and Marion Smith. He was predeceased by a son Mark Tatro, sisters and brother, Laura Janovsky, Martha Tatro and Fred Tatro.
