Richard DeMarsico Sr.

Richard Raymond DeMarsico Sr., 84, of Port Orange , FL died on Saturday, October 9, 2021 at Halifax Heath Hospice in Ormond Beach, FL.

He was born in North Adams, MA on April 26, 1937, a son of the late Henry DeMarsico and Marguerite (Lanoue) DeMarsico. He was raised in North Adams and attended Drury High School. married the former Beverly Jane Koch on June 2, 1956. She predeceased him on May 13, 2019.

He was member of the Massachusetts National Guard and was also a member of the VFW in North Adams, MA.

Richard, a welder by trade, was employed by General Electric for many years.

He was a communicant of St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church in North Adams and Our Lady of Hope in Port Orange, FL.

 Richard loved his family and especially enjoyed attending his grandchildren’s activities. He coached Peewee football for many years. was an avid, fan of the Denver Broncos and the Boston Red Sox.

 He is survived by his three sons; Wayne R. (Vicki) DeMarsico of Pearson, AZ; David A. DeMarsico of Port Orange, FL and R. (Lisa) DeMarsico of Maynardville, TN; and daughter Susan J. Gigliotti (Thomas) of Chesapeake, VA. He also leaves behind eleven grandchildren and several great grandchildren. was predeceased by his brother Henry DeMarsico and his sister Dolores Marco.

A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday ,October 30, 2021 at St. Elizabeth Church, North Adams, MA. at 10 AM. Burial will follow in the family plot in Southview Cemetery, North Adams, MA. Calling Hours at the Flynn & Dagnoli Funeral Home, CENTRAL CHAPELS, 74 Marshall St. North Adams, MA. are Friday from 5-7 PM . In Lieu of flowers memorial donations are suggested for the Halifax Health Hospice, 3800 Woodbriar Trail, Port Orange, FL 32129 or through the funeral home.
