Bonnie A. Zabek, 67

PERU, Mass. —

Bonnie Ann Zabek, 67, of Peru, MA died unexpectedly on August 21, 2023 at her home.

She was born in Adams on November 5, 1955, a daughter of the late Kasimer and Frieda (Czubryt) Zabek. She attended St. Stanislaus Elementary School and graduated from Hoosac Valley High School with the Class of 1973.

Bonnie last worked at Sampco Inc. in Pittsfield for several years. Earlier, she had worked at General Electric Co. and RUS Uniform in Pittsfield. She had also worked in the cafeteria at Kittredge Elementary School in Hinsdale for several years. Bonnie enjoyed gardening, feeding birds and decorating elaborately for every holiday.

She is survived by her sons, Nathan Hover of Pittsfield and Dustin Hover and his wife, Nicole, of Lee; two brothers, David Zabek and his wife Joan of Bristol, CT and Thomas Zabek and his wife Charlene of St. Johnsbury, VT; three sisters, Susan McShane and her husband Thomas of Stamford, VT; Nancy Herlihy of Pittsfield and Mary Ellen Daigneault and her fiancée Michael Graves, of Adams, as well as many nieces and nephews.

A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, Aug. 29th at 12 Noon in St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, 25 Hoosac St. Adams. Bural will follow in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Adams. A calling hour will be held on Tuesday from 11 AM until 12 Noon AT THE CHURCH. Relatives and friends are invited.
