Michael Kwasniowski, 83

ADAMS, Mass. — Mr. Michael Kwasniowski, 83, of Adams, died on Saturday, June 28, 2025, at North Adams Regional Hospital.

He was born in Adams on Jan. 18, 1942, son of the late Michael and Wanda Midura Kwasniowski. He attended schools in Adams and after graduating in 1960 from the former Adams High School, he began his long career in banking. He joined South Adams Savings Bank as a teller in 1964 and became president in 1978.

Michael was a valued member of the Adams community. He was a former trustee of the Adams Free Library, the Adams Ambulance Association and the W.B Plunkett Memorial Hospital. He was also a member of the BPOE Adams and Bennington Lodge of Elks. The Kwas could always be found cutting his grass, making friends with absolute strangers, hunting down the sale items at the Big Y and keeping a running list of the cheapest gas stations.

He leaves his wife, Joyce, whom he married in November of 1963; daughters Amy Alibozek (Richard) of Adams and Lisa Grozier (John) of Pleasanton, Calif. He was Dziadz to Molly, Michael, Sadie, Kelsey and Chad.

He was predeceased by his sister, Judy, and his faithful companion KJ.
