Kyle A. McGrath, 74

ADAMS, Mass. —
Mrs. Kyle A. (Downey) McGrath, 74, of Adams, died on Friday, January 9, 2026, at Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield.
She was born in Adams on August 19, 1951, daughter of the late Edward and Eleanor (Pause) Downey. She attended schools in Adams and graduated from the former Adams High School with the class of 1969. She graduated from the dental assistant program at the Charles H. McCann Technical High School.
Kyle last worked in the deli and seafood departments at Big Y Supermarket in Adams and North Adams until retiring to take care of her grandchildren. Earlier she had worked as a dental assistant for Dr. Rod and the former “That Coat Place in Adams”.
She was a communicant of the Parish of St. John Paul II in Adams and had been a communicant of the former St. Thomas Aquinas Church. She was a member of the Adams Turn Hall where she bowled in the women’s league for many years. She enjoyed card games, gardening, trips to the Cape, watching the Boston Celtics, Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots. She also enjoyed her regular lunch dates with “the girls” and searching for the perfect Eggs Benedict with her dear friends Gil and Ginny.
Her husband of 43 years, David H. McGrath, whom she married on June 3, 1972, died on January 19, 2016.
She is survived by her two sons, Michael McGrath and his wife Jennifer of Adams, Thomas McGrath of Adams; two grandchildren, Noah and Claire McGrath of Adams; her brother-in-law Neil McGrath of Cobb Island, MD; her sister-in-law Maura McGrath Morrison of Greenfield and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by sister Robin Downey who died in infancy and by her brother-in-law John McGrath and by her sister-in-law Jennie McGrath.
The funeral will be on Friday, January 16th at 11:00 A.M. in the PACIOREK FUNERAL HOME, 13 Hoosac St., Adams. Burial will follow in Bellevue Cemetery, Adams.
Calling hours are Friday morning from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service.
The family requests the omission of flowers, and suggests memorial donations be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
